Hi!  Welcome to the Kristen Hansen Brakeman website.

I write essays about parenting and daughter-ing, or whatever happens to irk me at the moment.

I’ve been published in the Huffington Post, New York Times, Washington Post, Working Mother Magazine, and LA Parent.  I’ve also been featured on the WordPress Freshly Pressed page and have had guest blogs on ScaryMommy,  Humor Outcasts, and the Erma Bombeck Writers’ Workshop. My work is featured in the parenting collection, Martinis & Motherhood and a collection of my essays, Is That The Shirt You’re Wearing? will be released May 5, 2017 by Tidal Press.

Oh, also, I was voted Most Sportsmanlike by my fifth grade kickball team.

Oh, and check out my facebook page, or follow me on twitter @KristenBrakeman.

Wow, that all sounds so needy.  Really, do as you please. I could give a crap.*

*Not true. I care deeply.

  2. Kristen: Here is the Cowbird link to SEX DOLL… This is a story, and when my Nobel Prize winning facialist told it to me, I laughed so hard I almost fell out of the recliner. Had to do something with it,and this is the result. Enjoy! Blessings, Alex PS: Looking forward to reading more of your work, and, about those movie deals, more later…:)
